Samer Halawa has been with Globitel since the beginning of its journey in 1996. His open approach to management, through which he strives to instill a spirit of team-work and innovation, has raised the company to unprecedented heights, and has had a rippling effect that extended beyond the borders of Globitel to contribute to the industry as a whole.
Upon graduation in 1991, Mr. Halawa joined the Rifat Nabulsi Company as Telecommunications Engineer. Three years later, Mr. Halawa worked as a chief engineer at Access, a financial information service provider, where he developed the first data dissemination system for the Amman Stock Exchange.
In 1996, Mr. Halawa and Mr. Sharif Nabulsi established Globitel, which they envisioned to be a leading regional provider of converged telecom solutions. Since 1996, Globitel grew to live up to that vision, becoming one of the leading telecom solutions providers in the region, with high-profile clients such as Saudi Telecom, Zain Group, Etisalat, and many more.
Mr. Halawa received his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering in 1991 from Ohio State University and completed the highly prestigious Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2009.
